I was lost and heartbroken. I met a girl through a friend. I lived in California, and she lived in New York. We hit it off right from the start. We were together over a year, but soon the trips back and forth started wearing on our relationship. My girlfriend called it off one evening during a tear-filled conversation over the phone.
